INTRODUCTION

The purpose of SIG is to promote the creation and diffusion of knowledge in relation to knowledge and learning in organizations. The ambition is to develop a European-based research community that can inform disciplines like strategy, entrepreneurship, organization theory, innovation and organizational behavior, but is also open to inputs from other disciplines (including history, psychology, sociology, science and technology studies etc.).

It therefore aims to stimulate discussion about a variety of topics. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
 Continuing established debates (e.g. knowledge systems, creativity, absorptive capacity);
 Exploring emerging and new areas (e.g. replication, socio-materiality, artefacts);
 Examining the subject from a particular theoretical perspective (e.g. process and practice-based theory);
 The use of a variety of methodological approaches (e.g. ethnography, statistical analysis, case studies);
 Studies with a particular sectoral focus (e.g. manufacturing, healthcare, professional service firms, creative industries etc.).
