Welcome to the Innovation SIG!

Our agenda for EURAM 2013 in Istanbul includes Five Tracks, Track workshops, Symposium, General EURAM Doctoral Colloquium, Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) Award, and Social Networking Activities. For interdisciplinary studies we have a joint track with SIGs in Strategic Management and in Project Organising.

Tracks

31) Innovation - Into the Future - General Track offers an umbrella for any innovation-related research that does not find a home in the more specific tracks provided below.

General Track Workshop: Professors Joe Tidd and John Bessant – authors of the best-selling texts “Managing Innovation: Integrating technological, market and organisational change” (Wiley, fourth edition, 2009; www.managing-innovation.com) and “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” (Wiley, second edition, 2011; www.iande.info) will be leading a workshop on Teaching Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
 

32) Implementing and Informing Innovation Strategies Through Project Portfolio Management joint track with Project Organising and Strategic Management

33) Innovation through IT, Crowdsourcing and Social Networks addresses the issue of how business transformation and innovation could be achieved through the utility of ICT initiatives? 34) Learning from Innovations Outside Europe looks at implications for European and other Western firms that want to build relationships with China. Track also aims to understand how innovation is organised in Indian firms, and what are the implications for European and other Western firms who want to build relationships outside Europe. The Responsible Chairs are Professors Dimitris Assimakopoulos, Grenoble Ecole de Management, Learning & Innovation in Networks & Communities (LINC) Lab, France and Corrado Cerruti, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. 35) Managing Service Innovation & Supply Chain has a multidimensional programme. The Agenda includes three different subtracks around service innovation and supply chain. 36) Open Innovation has an extensive programme. The Agenda includes three different scientific subtracks around open innovation and one joint workshop on the future challenges in the research area. The Responsible Chair of the track is Dr. Nizar Abdelkafi, Fraunhofer MOEZ and University of Leipzig, Department of Innovation Management and Innovation Economics, Germany. Track Workshop: Open Innovation - Future Challenges in Academia and Practice

37) Organising Creativity for Innovation is the most multi-national in the SIG and organised by scholars from the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Poland, Turkey and Mexico. The Responsible Chair of the track is Professor Jan Dul, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, The Netherlands. The Innovation SIG will also be holding the following events at EURAM 2013:

Symposium: Co-creation and the Democratisation of Innovation Project Management is focused on studying the organizational and managerial challenges of a variety of open innovation approaches to co-creation.

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) Award

It is our honour and pleasure to announce for EURAM 2013 Innovation SIG delegates a NSN Award for the best paper in Technology Management. All papers submitted for the tracks Innovation that are thought-provoking, challenging, inspiring, and outstanding from Technology Management perspective would be considered for this Award. We hope for a fruitful cooperation and grateful to Fabian Schlage, Head of Innovation Management NSN for this opportunity provided to our delegates.

EURAM Doctoral Colloquium

Invites PhD-students addressing research problems in the area of Innovation, R&D and technology management to discuss preliminary and intermediate results with mentors. The EURAM Doctoral Colloquium takes place prior to the Conference, and you can view the call for papers here.
